You heard right. To advertise for Nintendo Park, I'm having a contest. Depending on how many people you convince to join, you'll get moderation boards. (No admins.) Here are the basics:
The new member must creae a welcome topic. In that welcome topic, they must state the username of the member who convinced them to join. I would recommend you tell them why you are telling them to join. (Also tell them we're awesome and would be
more awesome with more members.)
A new member convinced to join by a member may try to recruit more people. They will still get points.
If you are granted one or more mod positions, that doesn't necessarily mean they are permanent. Just because you won moderation in a contest doesn't mean I can't take you from your position. If you break the rules, you will no longer be a mod, and, depending on how bad it is, you may be banned. You may also be taken from your position during a long state of inactivity, unless you have told us in the Intro/Goodbye board when you will be back or have just reassured us that you will return.
Now that's out of the way, here are the ranks and the prizes that go with them:
1[sup]st[/sup] place: Global Moderation
2[sup]nd[/sup] place: 3-board moderation
3[sup]rd[/sup] place: 1-board moderation
Each rank also comes with calendar administration. You can change, edit, delete, and add events to the calendar.
Those of you who are already mods, you will get however many
more boards to maintain. Admins, you can't really get any higher, but please, try anyway. No, nothing is in it for you, but...
